Pioneer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 48-14 defeat at the hands of the Hawthorne Christian Defenders. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Pioneer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hawthorne Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer Academy has already played their next match (against Bergen Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hawthorne Christian will head out on the road to face off against Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hawthorne Christian's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Lodi's offense will have their work cut out for them.
