Football Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Southern Christian

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Southern Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 victory over the Freedom C Cowboys. The 27-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jagger Scott produced another solid performance rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 103 receiving yards. An impressive showing, but he really ramped things up playing D: he picked up two sacks, made 24 total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Another reason for the win was Southern Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Scott was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

The win keeps Southern Christian at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.3 points this season. As for Freedom C, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2.
