Softball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Foothill lost to Granada back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Matadors by a score of 2-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Myra Galzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Alexa Sponsel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Foothill's record is now 10-10. As for Granada, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill is set to square off against their familiar foe Carondelet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Granada will face off against rival Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
