Football Recap: Soroco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Soroco extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They had to suffer through a 62-0 loss at the hands of the Hayden Tigers. The Rams lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 60-20 score last time.

Cavit Gregory threw for 37 yards on four of 14 attempts. Brody Stroup was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards.

As for Hayden, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2. That looming 62-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Hayden's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danek DeMorat, who rushed for 77 yards and two scores on only five carries. DeMorat has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Noah Weber was another key player, rushing for 49 yards and a pair of TDs.

Looking ahead, Soroco is taking a road trip to square off against Lake County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hayden, they will host Vail Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
