Recap: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. Mead Hall Episcopal School Panthers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Curtis Baptist Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mead Hall Episcopal School 53-10 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Curtis Baptist sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Leading Curtis Baptist to victory were Maci Butler and Mia Price. Butler dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Price dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 steals. Price is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Hunt, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Mead Hall Episcopal School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anne Fenton Massie. Despite the final result, she scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Curtis Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist will take on Our Lady of the Rosary at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Curtis Baptist is facing Our Lady of the Rosary at the right time seeing as Our Lady of the Rosary is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they will head out on the road to take on Community Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mead Hall Episcopal School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
