Jackson Heights is a perfect 10-0 against Valley Falls since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Jackson Heights Cobras will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Falls Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Thursday, Jackson Heights came up short against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy and fell 41-28. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Valley Falls lost to Oskaloosa on the road by a 57-41 margin on Friday. The Dragons were down 51-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Jackson Heights will have to keep a close watch on Chloe Cox and Cali DeLong, a pair of players who had a big impact on Valley Falls' prior game. Cox went 6-for-14 to rack up 16 points, while DeLong went 6-for-14 on her way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave DeLong a new career-high in points.

Valley Falls has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. Jackson Heights' record now sits at 4-15.

Jackson Heights didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Valley Falls in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson Heights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
