Basketball Recap: Audric Garsico's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eastside over Buchholz

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Buchholz Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 501st, while the Bobcats are ranked 154th).

Eastside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audric Garsico, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Laquan Prunty, who put up six points.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Buchholz, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-3.

Eastside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-35 loss against The Rock National on the 27th. Buchholz has also already played their next contest, an 81-50 defeat against The Villages Charter on the 21st.
