Baseball Recap: Marcellus Wildcats vs. Gobles Tigers
Marcellus waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Gobles Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Jakob Huber was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Abram Coffey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played.
