Softball Recap: Bessemer City Comes Up Short

If Bessemer City was riding high fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Fairfield on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights on Saturday, falling 12-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Friday.

Bessemer City has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bessemer City will host Huffman at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will square off against Wenonah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
