Football Game Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. Caroline Cavaliers + How To Watch

The Culpeper County Blue Devils will square off against the Caroline Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Culpeper County had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Courtland put an end to it on Friday. The Blue Devils fell 26-13 to the Cougars. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Caroline hadn't done well against King George recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cavaliers breezed past the Foxes to the tune of 54-14. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Caroline's win came from a few key players Culpeper County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tre Coles, who rushed for 166 yards and three scores on only five carries. Those 166 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Blake Morris was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one TD.

Caroline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jordan Reynolds, Ethan John Tenorio, and Christopher Giles picked up one apiece. Reynolds got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Caroline's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Culpeper County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
