Football Game Preview: Tioga Bulldogs vs. Nocona Indians + How To Watch

The Tioga Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Nocona Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tioga will be strutting in after a victory while Nocona will be coming in after a loss.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Tioga prevailed. They snuck past Wolfe City with a 50-44 win on Friday.

Tioga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyson Kirkland led the charge by throwing for 197 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Hurst, who picked up 143 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Tioga didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Justin Arrington and Wes Wilmon. Arrington got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Nocona came up short against Whitewright on Friday and fell 40-30. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got Tioga back to even at 4-4. As for Nocona, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Tioga against Nocona when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 62-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
