Basketball Recap: Irvington Comes Up Short

Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-68 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mission San Jose Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-39 back in January.

Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Mission San Jose, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Irvington will venture away from home to challenge Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mission San Jose, they will welcome Newark Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Newark Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
