It was a good run, but Sandia Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Sundevils' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Sandia Prep actually scored more points across those five sets (104-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 19-25, 12-25, 25-23, 25-16, 17-15.

Sandia Prep's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-4. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Sandia Prep will face off against Robertson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will head out to take on Cuba at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
