Baseball Recap: West Windsor-Plainsboro South Comes Up Short

West Windsor-Plainsboro South extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-18 in the process. They lost 10-1 to the Notre Dame Irish. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Irish this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-3 defeat back in April.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nihan Palla, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 14-7. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

On Notre Dame's side, Mike Shipula was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Shipula has posted since back in March. Mike Cummings also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Windsor-Plainsboro South will host Hopewell Valley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Notre Dame, they will welcome Allentown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
