Baseball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cardinal Gibbons can now relate to. They fell 3-0 to the Monsignor Pace Spartans on Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Chiefs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Cardinal Gibbons' defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Monsignor Pace, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

While Cardinal Gibbons had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
