Baseball Recap: Boylan Catholic Comes Up Short

Boylan Catholic suffered their biggest defeat since May 8, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Crystal Lake South Gators, falling 10-3. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Gavin Pigott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Michael Davenport was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Boylan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crystal Lake South, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Boylan Catholic will square off against Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crystal Lake South, they will challenge Murphysboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
