Northeastern came tearing into Friday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 67-59 victory over the Holmes Aces. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-41 back in January.

Northeastern's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Unique Blount, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Blount a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Tyell Saunders, who scored 11 points and six assists.

Northeastern pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Holmes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12.
