Basketball Recap: Jared Dudek Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodcrest Baptist Academy

First Baptist's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Woodcrest Baptist Academy 59-42. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Woodcrest Baptist Academy, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jared Dudek, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave Dudek a new career-high. Caleb Lindsay was another key player, putting up 22 points and five rebounds.

First Baptist's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Woodcrest Baptist Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

First Baptist will take on Lake Region Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodcrest Baptist Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on First Baptist at 6:45 p.m. on January 17, 2025.
