Basketball Recap: Seiling Takes a Loss

Seiling entered their game against Alva on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats took a hard 55-36 fall against the Goldbugs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 45-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Seiling's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Alva, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Seiling and Alva should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 31st) will meet Texhoma (ranked 198th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Alva will square off against Mangum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (57 vs. 320).
