Starmount has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Mount Airy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Rams will look to defend their home field  against the Granite Bears  at 6:00  p.m. Starmount will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Starmount's pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Elkin with a sharp  11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
Meanwhile, Mount Airy hadn't done well against Elkin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Wednesday. The Granite Bears narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Buckin' Elks  6-4. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Granite Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
  Greer Tidd and  Addie Hill did most of the damage at the plate:  Tidd  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Hill  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. What's more,  Tidd posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.  Kallie Hutchens was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Starmount pushed their record up to 8-9 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mount Airy, they picked up their first road  win, bumping their record up to 2-9.
