Football Recap: Grand Blanc Skates Past Traverse City West with Ease + How To Watch

Grand Blanc won the last time they faced Traverse City West and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats took their match with ease, bagging a 49-6 victory over the Titans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Titans are ranked 140th).

Jake Morrow produced another solid effort rushing for 61 yards and four TDs, while also throwing for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Coleman, who rushed for 67 yards and one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Grand Blanc's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Allen Frank, Giovanni Iatonna, and Erik Nemecek, who each picked up one sack apiece.

The win keeps Grand Blanc at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average this season. As for Traverse City West, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Grand Blanc will head out to face off against Everett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bobcats 14.8, the Vikings 14) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Traverse City West, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Midland at 7:00 p.m.
