Softball Recap: Leake Central Takes a Loss

Leake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They came up short against the Forest Bearcats, falling 15-0.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Forest, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Leake Central will square off against Northeast Lauderdale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Forest, they will welcome Pelahatchie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.64 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
