Softball Game Preview: Inderkum Tigers vs. Yuba City Honkers

The Inderkum Tigers will face off against the Yuba City Honkers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inderkum is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Inderkum needed a bit of extra time to put away East Nicolaus. They won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Alexandra Jacques was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ambrosia Estacio, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Yuba City was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Roseville by a score of 2-1.

Yuba City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Gonzales, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Inderkum's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Yuba City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4-1.
