Champions from New York, Florida, California, Michigan and Texas top regional rankings.

The final MaxPreps Regional Baseball Computer Rankings find state champions from New York, California, Florida, Michigan and Texas topping the five geographic regions.

Baker (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) captured the Class AA state championship in New York and tops the Northeast region ahead of New Jersey Group IV state champion Eastern (Voorhees, N.J.).

In the Farwest, Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.) is not a state champion (California does not have a state championship tournament), but it did win the largest sectional tournament in the state with a Division I Southern Section crown. The Wolverines are just ahead of Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, Ariz.), the Arizona Division I state champion.

Venice, the Florida 7A state champion, edges out Milton, the Georgia 6A state champion, for the top spot in the South, while Michigan Division 1 champion Bay City Western (Auburn) tops the Midwest, just ahead of Indiana 4A state champ Elkhart Central.

The Woodlands, which won the Class 5A state championship in Texas, is the top team in the Southwest.

The MaxPreps Regional Rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, with the 50 states divided into five regions of 10 states each.
