Basketball Recap: Dunbar Takes a Loss

Dunbar was the 55-43 winner over North Fort Myers when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dunbar Tigers took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Fort Myers Red Knights.

North Fort Myers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chance Taylor out in front who posted 13 points and five boards. What's more, Taylor also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Robert Ballesteros, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points.

Dunbar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for North Fort Myers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Dunbar has already played their next game, a 65-55 victory against South Fort Myers on the 3rd. As for North Fort Myers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-43 win against Mariner on the 3rd.
