Softball Recap: Family Community Christian Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Family Community Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Bastrop on Tuesday. Family Community Christian never let Bastrop get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Family Community Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.

Family Community Christian pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Bastrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-1 record this season.

Family Community Christian will head out to challenge Glenbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bastrop, they will face off against Richwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richwood has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something Bastrop will no doubt try to take advantage of.
