Basketball Recap: Middlesex Has No Trouble Against St. Luke's

On Saturday, Middlesex strolled past the St. Luke's Storm with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. The win made it back-to-back victories for Middlesex.

Despite the loss, St. Luke's saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Newsom dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Newsom has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Leneil Jones, Jr., who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Middlesex's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Luke's, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Middlesex will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westminster School at 3:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for St. Luke's, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-58 victory against Buckingham Browne & Nichols on the 21st.
