Softball Recap: Seattle Prep Comes Up Short

Seattle Prep came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to the Roosevelt Roughriders. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Seattle Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Buckholtz, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Seattle Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Seattle Prep will venture away from home to square off against Chief Sealth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out to take on Lake Stevens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Roughriders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
