Baseball Recap: Eagle's View Finds Playoff Glory Versus Harvest Community

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eagle's View had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past Harvest Community 10-0. Considering Eagle's View's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Eagle's View got a great performance from Mason Bass as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Bass a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenai Wilkens, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Eagle's View: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 9-13 otherwise. Nathan La Rosa was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Eagle's View moved to 12-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Harvest Community, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coming up, Eagle's View will square off against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
