Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Davis Bright and Mason Hall Lead Oconee County to Victory

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Oconee County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes 55-53. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their 28-point performance the game before.

Leading Oconee County to victory were Mason Hall and Davis Bright. Hall went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and six boards, while Bright went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points. The dominant performance gave Bright a new career-high in points. Josiah Gay also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Oconee County's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Monroe Area, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
