Soccer Game Preview: Zion-Benton vs. Lake Zurich + How To Watch

Zion-Benton is 1-8-1 against Lake Zurich since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Zee-Bees will be playing at home against the Bears at 4:45 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Lake Zurich will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Zion-Benton extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Zee-Bees came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Waukegan. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Zion-Benton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Waukegan are ranked 210th).

Meanwhile, Lake Zurich hadn't done well against Stevenson recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bears never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lake Zurich were the better team in the second half.

Zion-Benton's victory bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Lake Zurich, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.
