Basketball Recap: Park School Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Park School had won four straight home games and Sophie Zirkin did her part to make it five on Friday. The Park School Bruins took their matchup with ease, bagging a 58-20 victory over the Friends Quakers thanks in part to Zirkin, who posted 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Park School's points.

Park School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Friends, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park School has already played their next game (against Gerstell Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Friends will host Concordia Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concordia Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Friends surely won't give up without a fight.
