Basketball Recap: Hutchison Comes Up Short

Hutchison lost against Lathrop back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hutchison Hawks lost 54-29 to the Lathrop Malemutes. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Hutchison saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cayden Roberts posted eight points. What's more, Roberts also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charles Lissow, who had six points and five boards.

Hutchison's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lathrop, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Hutchison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-27 win against Nikiski on the 25th. As for Lathrop, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-54 victory against Barrow on the 25th.
