Basketball Recap: North Cobb Takes a Loss

North Cobb suffered their biggest defeat since February 6th on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 71-39 loss at the hands of the Marietta Blue Devils. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Leah DeWitt produced another solid performance shooting 44% from the field to rack up 27 points and four steals for Marietta. That makes it three consecutive games in which DeWitt has scored at least a third of the Blue Devils' points. Zo? Williams was another key player, going 6-for-14 on her way to 15 points.

North Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Marietta, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, North Cobb will host Kennesaw Mountain at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marietta, they will head out to challenge North Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
