Baseball Recap: Severn School Victorious

Severn School's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Mary's Saints a 4-0 shutout. This was payback for the Admirals, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Caden Blanck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Matt Fisher was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Severn School now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Severn School will welcome Glenelg Country at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Glenelg Country their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for St. Mary's, they will take on St. Paul's at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will also be St. Paul's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
