            Baseball Recap: Glen Rose Tigers vs. Brownwood Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Glen Rose took a eight-run  loss the last time they faced off against Brownwood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Lions  7-5. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Lions  on Tuesday, they had to take a  10-2  defeat.
 Braden Harwell looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Joe Randell, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. Glen Rose is undefeated when  Randell posts two or  more  runs, but 10-13 otherwise.  Adrian Sanchez was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Glen Rose was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .387. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in March.
Glen Rose is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Brownwood, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
