Baseball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

Howard managed to slip by Bethesda-Chevy Chase the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 19-3 to the Barons on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Howard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Nystrom, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Austin Proescher also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Howard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Magruder on the 16th. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sherwood at 3:45 p.m. on the 28th.
