Softball Recap: East Jackson Trojans vs. Vandercook Lake Jayhawks
East Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vandercook Lake Jayhawks. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jayhawks earlier this season, when they won 18-7.
Kilah Boatright put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Boatright was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Addison Hendricks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Worthing, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Vandercook Lake, they moved to 2-13 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.
