Baseball Recap: Pillow Academy Comes Up Short

Pillow Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Heritage Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Tuesday.

Pillow Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benz Porter, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Those two runs gave Porter a new career-high.

Pillow Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Heritage Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pillow Academy beat Heritage Academy by a score of 18-7 later that day.
