Senior guard led Bedford to 25-0 record, second straight Division 1 state championship.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Kate Allard of Bedford is the 2024-25 New Hampshire MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 senior guard led the Bulldogs to a 25-0 record and second straight Division 1 state championship.

For the season, Allard averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. In a 50-44 win over Londonderry in the title game, she scored 12 points to help Bedford extend its win streak to 44 games.

Allard, who signed with Boston University in November, piled up over 1,400 career points and 500 rebounds. She was also the New Hampshire MaxPreps Player of the Year this season in volleyball after leading Bedford to a 21-0 record and Division 1 title.

Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released in April. Past selections include 2024 WNBA Most Valuable Player A'ja Wilson (2014) as well as 2024 All-WNBA first team picks Caitlin Clark (2020), Napheesa Collier (2015), Breanna Stewart (2012) and Alyssa Thomas (2010).
