Baseball Game Preview: Patapsco Patriots vs. Chesapeake Bay Hawks

After both having extra time off, the Patapsco Patriots and the Chesapeake Bay Hawks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Patapsco sitting on seven straight wins and Chesapeake on three.

Patapsco's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Carver A&T 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake got the win against Owings Mills last Thursday by a conclusive 12-1. The Bay Hawks are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the third contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.

Patapsco's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Chesapeake, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Patapsco came out on top in a nail-biter against Chesapeake in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
