Preview: Laguna Creek Cardinals vs. Grant Pacers
Laguna Creek is 2-7 against Grant since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Laguna Creek Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the Grant Pacers at 7:30 p.m. Laguna Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 716 points over their last 11 matches.
Last Friday, Laguna Creek didn't have too much trouble with Kennedy at home as they won 68-53.
Laguna Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Smith, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adaarion "AD" Strauthers, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grant gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Kennedy 79-57. Winning may never get old, but Grant sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Laguna Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Grant, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Laguna Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Grant in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 51-49. Does Laguna Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grant turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
