Soccer Game Preview: Ragsdale vs. Grimsley

The Ragsdale Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Grimsley Whirlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ragsdale barely beat Southeast Guilford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Ragsdale's defense stepped up to hand Southeast Guilford a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. It was an even better day for Micah Moody as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grimsley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Western Guilford on Thursday. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Grimsley yet this season.

Ragsdale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matches. Grimsley now has a winning record of 3-2-1.
