Volleyball Recap: Daphne Falls Short Against Ranked Carrollwood Day

Daphne is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Carrollwood Day. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Patriots. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daphne's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenzie Valentine, who had eight digs and five assists.

Daphne's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Carrollwood Day, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Daphne has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ponte Vedra on the 29th. As for Carrollwood Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Lake Highland Prep on the 29th.
