Soccer Recap: Southern Wayne Takes a Loss

Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Fike Demons. While losing is never fun, Southern Wayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Fike are ranked 113th).

Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-6. As for Fike, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4-2.

Southern Wayne and Fike will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Saints see the pitch they'll take on West Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Fike, their break will end when they face East Wake at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
