Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 84-29 loss at the hands of the George Washington Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 68-20 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Riverside's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cianna Groom, who posted ten points, and Jada Ward, who put up two points.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for George Washington, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Woodrow Wilson the next time they take the court. Riverside will host Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while George Washington will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
