East Rowan and North Iredell are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Mustangs will head out to face off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

East Rowan is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Wheatmore: they outscored them in every quarter. The Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 66-49 victory over the Warriors on Friday.

Meanwhile, North Iredell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Wilkes Central 72-52 on Tuesday. The Raiders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 (when they won 72-50).

North Iredell's win came from a few key players East Rowan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Connor Ward, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 21 points along with eight assists and five boards. Kaden Zachary was another key player, going 6-for-10 on his way to 16 points.

North Iredell was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They racked up ten more assists than Wilkes Central's also-impressive total of 11.

East Rowan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Iredell, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

East Rowan came up short against North Iredell in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, falling 87-77. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
