Softball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwest can now relate to. They came up short against the Braddock Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 19-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 7, 2019.

Southwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Summer Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Braddock, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Braddock, they will square off against West Boca Raton at 3:30 p.m. on the 8th.
