Basketball Recap: Cape Hatteras Comes Up Short

Cape Hatteras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 53-37 to the Mattamuskeet Lakers. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Cape Hatteras' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mattamuskeet, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Hatteras will host Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mattamuskeet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bear Grass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
