Softball Game Preview: Manchester Squires vs. Fort Wayne Wayne Generals

The Manchester Squires will take on the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Manchester's last matchup with Bremen could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. Manchester lost 8-2 to Bremen. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Squires couldn't push the score so high this time.

Manchester saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Renz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fort Wayne Wayne kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Heritage, falling 15-3. The Generals have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
